My name is Katie, and I am integrative therapist. This means that you are at the heart of what we do, our sessions are all about you; my client. No two people are the same, our lives are unique to us, and we are moulded by our experiences. That is why your counselling will be unique to you as an individual. Together we will explore your thoughts and feelings whilst developing greater self-awareness, resilience and inner peace. I draw upon the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to facilitate life-long change.
I am passionate about women’s health and realised as I navigated my own extensive perimenopause / menopause journey that this is a period in life where some women need additional, tailored support. I undertook training in menopause informed psychological care which enables me to create a specific programme to help you get your life back and embrace this period of change.
I have a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and a BA (Hons) Degree in Applied Social Science. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy with a full DBS check and am trained in safeguarding. I trained with ACTO to enable me to provide remote counselling via online platforms.
I continually undertake training to enhance my knowledge and keep learning. Whilst I believe in all the training, knowledge, and skills I bring into the counselling room the most encouraging feedback I receive is from my clients, and that is, that they feel heard and understood.
