My name is Katie, and I am integrative therapist. This means that you are at the heart of what we do, our sessions are all about you; my client. No two people are the same, our lives are unique to us, and we are moulded by our experiences. That is why your counselling will be unique to you as an individual. Together we will explore your thoughts and feelings whilst developing greater self-awareness, resilience and inner peace. I draw upon the principles of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to facilitate life-long change.

Developing my counselling practice has enabled me to support individuals navigating the challenges of life when faced with overwhelming feelings which in turn can cause anxiety and depression. I also have a particular interest in women’s mental wellbeing as they transition through perimenopause and menopause and can offer a tailored programme to help you understand and navigate this stage of life.

I have a degree in Applied Social Science and a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling and am currently studying Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapy with a full DBS check and am trained in safeguarding. I undertook extensive training with ACTO to enable me to provide remote counselling via online platforms.

I continually undertake training to enhance my knowledge and keep learning. Whilst I believe in all the training, knowledge, and skills I bring into the counselling room the most encouraging feedback I receive is from my clients, and that is, that they feel heard and understood.

What my clients say

"Counselling has really helped me sort things out in my mind. It wasn't something I'd ever imagined I would need but when I started I quickly realised how valuable it was...... I feel like I can rationally work through options now."

"I was made to feel at ease in my first counselling session and the anxiety I had around the unknown with having counselling sessions was soon taken away. Katie showed great warmth and provided a safe space for me to talk about my feelings."

"Katie made me feel comfortable and at ease within the first one or two telephone sessions and over the time we have worked together, she has gained my trust implicitly. I can talk openly and confidentially to Katie about anything."
