Hi, I'm Katie

I’m here to help you through the difficult times

My name is Katie, and I am an integrative therapist offering counselling in Morley, Leeds and online. Being an integrative therapist means that you are at the heart of our work together. Your experiences are unique, and your counselling will be too.

I believe that no two people experience life in the same way. We are all shaped by our relationships, our past, and what we carry with us day to day. In our sessions, we will gently explore your thoughts and feelings at a pace that feels right for you—helping you develop greater self-awareness, resilience, and a sense of inner calm.

I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), to support meaningful, lasting change. My approach is always compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to your individual needs.

Alongside my general counselling work, I have a particular passion for women’s mental health. Through my own experience of perimenopause and menopause, I came to understand how challenging this stage of life can be, and how often women feel that they have to navigate it alone.

This led me to undertake specialist training in menopause-informed psychological care. I now offer dedicated support for women experiencing menopause and hormone-related changes, creating a tailored approach that supports both emotional and physical wellbeing—helping you feel more like yourself again.

In terms of my qualifications, I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, a Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, a BA (Hons) in Applied Social Science and am certified to deliver the EMBERS® framework with the CBT Menopause Clinic. I am an accredited member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society (NCPS), a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and hold a full DBS check. I am also trained to provide online counselling, allowing me to work with clients remotely in a safe and secure way.

I am committed to ongoing professional development and regularly undertake further training to deepen my knowledge and skills.

What my clients say

"Counselling has really helped me sort things out in my mind. It wasn't something I'd ever imagined I would need but when I started I quickly realised how valuable it was...... I feel like I can rationally work through options now."

"I was made to feel at ease in my first counselling session and the anxiety I had around the unknown with having counselling sessions was soon taken away. Katie showed great warmth and provided a safe space for me to talk about my feelings."

“When I approached Katie I thought I was going mad. At 42 I did not realise I was perimenopausal. I didn’t understand why I suddenly felt overwhelmed by everything. She helped me get my life back and taught me so much about my hormones and why I felt the way I did. I can’t thank her enough.”
