Supporting you through your menopause journey
Perimenopause and menopause can feel overwhelming, confusing, and at times, isolating. For many women, this stage of life brings significant physical, emotional, and psychological changes.
You might notice shifts in your mood, sleep, memory, or sense of self. You may feel anxious, low, irritable, or unlike yourself in ways that are hard to explain. These changes can feel unsettling—but you are not alone, and support is available.
I offer menopause counselling in Morley, Leeds and online, providing a calm, understanding space where you can begin to make sense of what’s happening and feel more in control again.
My passion for menopause support comes from my own experience.
I went through premature ovarian insufficiency when my daughter was very young. At the time, I didn’t understand what was happening to me—and neither did many of the professionals I spoke to. I was often told I was “too young” for menopause, which left me feeling confused, unsupported, and alone.
I experienced symptoms that affected every part of my life, including moments where I genuinely questioned my memory and cognitive ability. None of my friends were going through the same thing, which made it feel even more isolating.
Over time, my need to understand what was happening led me to educate myself. I immersed myself in research, learned about hormones, and made meaningful lifestyle changes to support my wellbeing.
Through speaking with other women, I realised just how many of us are struggling—often silently.
This experience is what led me to develop my counselling practice to specifically support women navigating perimenopause and menopause.
I have undertaken specialist training in menopause-informed psychological care. I provide psychological support for women using the EMBERS® framework, an evidence-based approach integrating CBT, neuroscience, and lifestyle medicine to address the emotional and psychological impact of menopause. You can learn more about the EMBERS® framework at the Menopause CBT Clinic®.
My approach goes beyond simply managing symptoms. Together, we take a holistic view—considering your mind, body, and your unique experience.
In our work together, we will:
Our sessions are always tailored to you. There is no one-size-fits-all approach—just support that meets you where you are.
Through our work, you can begin to:
This stage of life can feel challenging—but it can also be a time of understanding, adjustment, and growth, with the right support in place.
I also run a local Menopause Café in Gildersome at Sorella. This is a free, welcoming space for open and supportive conversations about perimenopause and menopause.
It’s open to everyone—because menopause affects us all, directly or indirectly.
