Are you struggling with mood swings during the perimenopause? Feel like you go from 0 to 100 in seconds? Suddenly anxious about everyday things like driving? A full night’s sleep is a thing of the past? If any of this sounds familiar, then keep reading.
For many people the menopause is a time of major disruption physically, emotionally and psychologically. Chaotic hormones can equal mood disturbances, weight gain, a sense of loss of self and cognitive changes which feel debilitating. I understand these challenges and can help you restore balance in your life, leaving you feeling in control again.
I have trained with EMBERS® in Menopause informed CBT. This is a tailored form of psychological care to help educate, manage symptoms and embrace this stage in life. To enhance this knowledge, I also completed training with the British Menopause Society on delivering CBT for menopause, with Newson Health (Confidence in Menopause) and the Royal College of Psychiatrists (Mental Health Through the Perimenopause and Menopause).
I am passionate about helping you overcome the emotional challenges perimenopause and menopause brings and want to help you find yourself again. I want to assist you in this natural stage of life in a positive and empowering way. With the right support and symptom management we can turn this into an opportunity for resilience and growth. I truly understand what you are experiencing and can share the tools to help navigate this journey.
I run a Menopause Cafe locally at Sorella in Gildersome. This is a free initiative aimed at providing a space for people to discuss their perimenopause / menopause journey. This is open to everyone regardless of gender as we are all touched by menopause. To find out when the next cafe is please contact me.
